Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of the most common functional gastrointestinal disorders in North America.The severity and chronic nature of this condition have a significant impact on health-related quality of life. With few effective therapies available, there is a need for integrative approaches to symptom management. This report describes a successful case of using acupuncture and moxibustion to reduce symptoms of constipationpredominant IBS.
